Kuwait University Hospital Commemorates the Prophet Mohammed’s Birthday with Ceremonial Event

Kuwait University Hospital today organized a ceremonial event to commemorate the Prophet Mohammed’s birthday (Mawlid) for 1448 AH, attended by the Hospital Board Chairman and University Rector, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, the Hospital Director General, Dr. Abdul Latif Abu Talib, his deputies, department and administrative directors, and a number of medical, administrative, and technical staff.
In his remarks, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti emphasized the importance of commemorating the occasion as an opportunity to draw inspiration from the humanitarian and ethical values reflected in the Prophet’s life and to strengthen professional responsibility and awareness in carrying out duties and serving society.
He noted that dedication to work and providing service to others are among the noble values that should be translated into professional practice. He also highlighted the distinctive nature of the medical profession as a humanitarian vocation centered on caring for patients, alleviating their suffering, and providing high-quality, responsible healthcare services.
The University Rector commended the efforts of the leadership and staff of Kuwait University Hospital to improve performance and enhance the quality of medical services. He also highlighted the hospital’s ongoing rehabilitation and modernization projects and their contribution to strengthening the healthcare environment and improving patient care.
The Director General of Kuwait University Hospital, Dr. Abdul Latif Abu Talib, stated that commemorating the Prophet Mohammed’s birthday provides an opportunity to reflect on the humanitarian and ethical values embodied in his life and to promote the principles of compassion, justice, solidarity, and community service.
He also reviewed the major improvements and development initiatives implemented in several hospital departments, emphasizing that these achievements were made possible through the coordinated efforts of the hospital’s medical, administrative, and technical teams.
Dr. Abu Talib expressed his appreciation for the support provided by Sana’a University leadership to the hospital, noting that such support strengthens its capacity to fulfill its medical and humanitarian mission and serve the community.
The event also featured devotional chants and poetry performances by members of the hospital staff, reflecting the spiritual and cultural character of the occasion.
