Faculty of Commerce and Economics Crowned Sana’a University Volleyball Cup Champions

The Faculty of Commerce and Economics team was crowned champion of the Sana’a University Volleyball Cup after defeating the Faculty of Physical Education by two straight sets (2–0) in the final of the University’s annual tournament, which brought together teams representing faculties across the University. The final match was held this morning at the Faculty of Commerce and Economics court.
The final was marked by strong performance and intense competition between the two teams, with both sides exchanging momentum throughout the match. The Faculty of Commerce and Economics ultimately prevailed in straight sets to claim the championship cup.
In his remarks, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, University Rector, reaffirmed the University’s commitment to supporting student sports and expanding athletic competitions across its faculties. He emphasized that such tournaments represent a vibrant addition to the University’s academic and student life, fostering competitive spirit, teamwork, sportsmanship, and active student participation alongside academic achievement.
The University Rector also announced that Sana’a University is preparing to launch the Sana’a University Football Cup in the coming period, as part of the University’s efforts to further expand student sports activities and provide students with broader opportunities to develop and showcase their athletic talents and abilities.
At the conclusion of the tournament, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, University Rector; Dr. Hani Al-Mughales, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Economics; and Mr. Abdulqader Al-Ghorbani, General Director of Student Activities and Youth Welfare, awarded the championship cup and gold medals to the Faculty of Commerce and Economics team, while the Faculty of Physical Education team received the silver medals for second place.
The tournament was marked by a high level of performance, strong competition, and sportsmanship among teams representing various faculties across Sana’a University.
