5Sana’a University Releases Issue No. 52 of Its Monthly Newspaper “Sana’a University”

Recently, Sana’a University released Issue No. 52 of its monthly periodical newspaper “Sana’a University,” which highlights the university’s news and showcases its comprehensive academic and research activities for April 2026 (Dhul-Qi‘dah 1447 Hijri).
The issue featured on its front pages a series of intensive strategic meetings held by the University Rector, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, with a number of ministers and officials to discuss strengthening medical education, localizing national industries, and developing institutional academic staff. The issue also highlighted an unprecedented medical achievement in Yemen represented by the successful performance of the country’s first open-heart surgeries using “local anesthesia” by Yemeni hands, coinciding with the university’s hosting of three major medical conferences.
In the academic and research domain, the newspaper documented decisions by the University Council to establish a Bachelor’s program in Interior Design Engineering and update several doctoral programs at the Faculty of Languages and the Center for Political Studies. It also highlighted the university’s distinguished global research achievements during 2025, which exceeded 522 scientific papers published in accredited international journals, led by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
The issue further reviewed the university’s successful digital transformation through the “Nassiq” electronic admission and coordination system, which smoothly processed the applications of 12,765 applicants. In addition, it covered the ongoing scientific preparations for launching the First International Conference on Engineering and Smart Technology and the First Conference on Yemeni Medicinal Honey.
