PhD Degree Awarded to Mr. Amr Mousa in Physical Education Sciences

Mr. Amr Moqbel Ali Mousa was awarded a PhD degree in Physical Education Sciences for his dissertation titled: Social Values and Their Relationship to Selected Psychological Skills among Physical Education Teachers in Schools of the Capital Secretariat – Sana’a, which was submitted to the Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Physical Education –Sana’a University. The dissertation defense was held on Thursday, April 30, 2026.
The PhD Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The dissertation aimed to:
Identify the level of social values and psychological skills among physical education teachers in schools of Capital Secretariat – Sana’a .
Examine statistically significant differences based on gender and type of school.
Determine the nature of the relationship between social values and psychological skills among the study sample.
The study yielded several key findings summarized as follows:
Physical education teachers in the Capital Secretariat schools demonstrate high levels of social values and psychological skills, reflecting their ethical and social role within the educational environment.
There are statistically significant differences in favor of females attributed to gender, and in favor of private schools attributed to school type, across most dimensions of social values and psychological skills.
There is a strong positive correlation between social values and psychological skills among physical education teachers.
In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the following:
Enhancing and strengthening social values and psychological skills among physical education teachers through educational programs and activities delivered via visual, audio, and print media.
The dissertation defense was attended by a number of academics, researchers, and specialists, students, colleagues, and the researcher’s family.
