The study yielded several Key findings as follows:
- The overall level of teaching challenges faced by teachers of students with visual impairments was moderate. Challenges related to teaching methods, strategies, and instructional aids ranked first, followed by curriculum-related issues, then student-related challenges, assessment and testing, teacher-related factors, and finally classroom management difficulties.
- The scarcity of assistive and supportive technologies and the limited use of modern technological tools were among the most critical difficulties faced by teachers in this stage.
- There were no statistically significant differences in the level of teaching challenges attributable to gender or academic qualification.
- There were, however, statistically significant differences attributable to teaching experience in favor of teachers with 6–10 years of experience.
Following the defense, the Viva-voce committee recommended the printing and exchange of the thesis with universities.
The defense session was attended by a number of academics, researchers, and individuals with visual impairments, colleagues and the researcher’s family members.
