Program Aims

  • Providing students with foundational concepts in Persian language, equipping them with skills in teaching and translating in both directions, and applying scientific methods for problem diagnosis and solution.
  • Empowering students to express issues in Persian, practice scientific reasoning skills, and adopt a logical and critical approach in addressing issues.
  • Equipping students with foundational principles in translation, language instruction, and research methods.
  • Facilitating students’ development of professional skills, fostering self-confidence, promoting respect for diverse individuals, cultures, and backgrounds, and cultivating the capacity to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Enabling students to master good communication skills, use computers, and apply modern tools and techniques to improve professional performance.

Program Mission

To produce well-qualified graduates in the Persian language who are adept at utilizing modern communication methods and executing assigned tasks that address diverse community needs across various language domains, including translation.

Graduate Attributes:

A graduate holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Persian Language from the Faculty of Languages should demonstrate the following attributes:
1.     Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Persian..
2.     Able to differentiate between fundamental concepts in language, literature, and translation studies.
3.     Able to use all four Persian language skills across diverse professional contexts..
4.     Capable to analyze and critique texts in an academic and professional manner.
5.     Able to communicate skillfully in both written and verbal forms.
6.     Able to translate various types of texts (political, scientific, economic, etc.) accurately, faithfully, and conscientiously.
7.     Proficient in producing innovative and scholarly research papers, adhering to the principles of academic honesty and research integrity.
8.     Capable to apply and employ specialized knowledge in professional practice within relevant fields.
9.     Proficient in using computers and technological applications to remain abreast of modern scientific and technical developments in language-related fields and applications.
10. Able to engage positively with diverse cultures while upholding religious, cultural, and social values.
