Mission
Vision
Seeking to prepare academically and professionally qualified cadres in computer education, as well as in designing educational and applied software across various fields, to meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education and the needs of local and regional labor markets.
Aspiring to integrate computer science and modern technologies into education by training educators specialized in computer science and in designing and producing a wide range of computer software.
Aims
The program seeks to achieve the following aims:
- Preparing and equipping graduates with the skills necessary to teach computer courses in both public and private schools.
- Qualifying and equipping graduates with the skills necessary to work as information system specialists within educational administrations.
- Qualifying and equipping graduates with applied skills and theoretical knowledge for designing and developing educational and applied software, as well as assessing and selecting the appropriate ones.
- Providing students with the skills of using contemporary programming languages for designing and developing desktop applications, web applications, and mobile applications.
- Enhancing students’ understanding of how to successfully use modern computer technology in educational and social environments, while also increasing their awareness of the social and scientific issues associated with computers and modern technologies.
- Contributing to disseminating information technology knowledge and preparing qualified cadres in computer and information technology to serve development goals.
- Providing students with foundational knowledge in the core areas of computer science, thereby qualifying them to pursue academic careers in various computer science disciplines.
- Ensuring mastery over concepts and skills related to computer science, operating systems, networks, information systems, programming languages, and network-based learning.
- Planning, implementing, and assessing computer science education with high efficiency.
- Adhering to the rules and ethics of the teaching profession.
- Facilitating the exchange of experiences and information with scientific institutions involved in science curricula and teaching, whether at the local, regional, or global level.
- Developing graduate programs for Master’s and PhD Degrees in accordance with internationally recognized standards.
