Program Aims

  • Equipping students with all what they need to learn and teach Arabic language, linguistics, literature, and culture.
  • Achieving excellence both qualitatively and quantitatively in learning and teaching Arabic, and providing distinguished services to the community in areas of communication, translation, and the teaching of Arabic.
  • Helping students develop and stimulate communication skills and creative thinking to address challenges effectively.

Program Mission

To produce graduates who value their cultural identity and cherish Arabic language, the language of the Holy Quran, possessing exceptional linguistic skills to engage meaningfully with diverse cultures worldwide.

Graduate Attributes:

A graduate holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Arabic Language from the Faculty of Languages should demonstrate the following attributes:
1.     Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Arabic.
2.     Able to differentiate between fundamental concepts in language and literature studies.
3.     Able to use all four Arabic language skills across diverse professional contexts.
4.     Capable of analyzing and critiquing texts in a systematic and professional manner.
5.     Able to communicate skillfully in both written and verbal forms.
6.     Proficient in producing innovative and scholarly research papers, adhering to the principles of academic honesty and research integrity.
7.     Capable to apply and employ specialized knowledge in professional practice within relevant fields.
8.     Proficient in using computers and technological applications to remain abreast of modern scientific and technical developments in language-related fields and applications.
9.     Able to engage positively with diverse cultures while upholding religious, cultural, and social values.
10.  Ready to assume ethical, academic, and professional responsibilities within their area of specialization.
